FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Buerkle Slams Dishonest “Medi-Scare” Ad

Independent Fact-Check Organizations Call Democrat’s Accusation “Lie of
the Year”

Syracuse, NY -Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle has released the
following statement in response to news reports that the Democratic
Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is launching a series of false,
negative attacks on her record of standing up for seniors.
“It’s not surprising that Dan Maffei’s DC allies have resorted to using
special interest money in a desperate attempt to divert attention from
his failed record while in Congress,” said Buerkle. “Dan Maffei and the
DCCC have nothing to offer other than divisive rhetoric that
independent organizations such as Politifact have labeled ‘the lie of
the year’.

The truth is, the blood of Medicare is on Dan Maffei’s hands.

Dan Maffei is the only candidate in this race who voted to cut Medicare
when he voted to cut Medicare by over $700 billion and create an
unelected board of bureaucrats to take medical decisions out of the
hands of seniors and their doctors.”
